cinesamples djembe

October 18, 2009

CinesamplesDjembeCinesamples just finished a really neat Djembe library, but we’re doing something a bit different for this one. We are trying to raise some money for a very worthy cause: Action Against Hunger http://www.aah-usa.org. AAH is one of the highest rated and effective charities – offering support to those in distress in over 40 countries.

If you wish to donate (any amount is accepted) please head over to our firstgiving page at http://www.firstgiving.com/cinesamples. After donating you will be sent links to this wonderful djembe as a way of saying thanks! Suggested donation is $10, our fund raising goal is $5000. Donation amounts will not be posted, name and comment is optional.

If you have any problems or questions please just drop us an email and we will help you out. And feel free to spread the word at other forums or on facebook etc…

UPDATE: OVER 1,000 DONATED!

“As soon as I installed Hollywoodwinds and started to go through the sounds, I was inspired to start writing a cue! The ability to choose exactly which mic positions I want to use from stage to close mics in real time allows me to get exactly the sound I need, and the tempo-synced repetition patches are amazing.. Hollywoodwinds delivers exactly what cinesamples set out to deliver, the inspiration to bring woodwinds back into contemporary scoring.” -Bill Brown

“There is nothing like Hollywoodwinds on the market. All the material (trills, scales, textures, patches etc…) is very usable and authentic. The engine is very powerful, flexible and easy to use. I look forward to using this library in my next score. Bravo!” - David Newman

“Hollywoodwinds is a marvel. As a former wind player I’ve been constantly disappointed in wind libraries. Hollywoodwinds was clearly made by composers for composers. There are a multitude of creative tools that not only will save time but enhance the creative process. And most importantly, the playing is great, the intonation is precise and the sound quality is wonderful. Bravo Cinesamples!” - Joel McNeely

Fulfilling a common customer request we made a combined Kontakt patch containing all the drum style patches rolled into one nki file.  It should make sketching ideas easier by having all tambres loaded at once.  You can download it here (under the interface graphic).  Also we have added a Solo Drum Stem of “The Congress of Boston” in the demo section of drums of war. It is up as an mp3 and as a 48/24 Wav File for download.  Picture 6It should give the raw flavor of the drums by themselves.
